A lifetime of service to young people.
George Saikali has spent more than forty years leading organizations that serve children, families, and communities.
He began his YMCA career at the Burbank YMCA and has remained closely connected to the Burbank community for decades. George and his family have lived in Burbank since 1997, and his two children graduated from Burbank Unified schools.
Throughout his career, George has helped nonprofit organizations overcome financial challenges, improve their operations, and expand services for children and families.
He ran for the Burbank School Board to bring experienced, responsible, and community focused leadership to the district.

Burbank has excellent schools, dedicated educators, and families who care deeply about public education.
I will work collaboratively to protect educational opportunities, support teachers and staff, improve financial oversight, and strengthen trust between the school district and the community.
